Micromax has launched a new low-end VoLTE smartphone in the popular Canvas series. Dubbed the Micromax Canvas Spark 4G, the new offering is bundled with the Reliance Jio 4G Preview bundle and will be available exclusively on snapdeal starting November 10th through flash sale.
Moving to the specs which aren’t altogether spectacular, the Micromax Canvas Spark 4G sports a 5-inch IPS display with 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) screen resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It measures 144 x 72.7 x 10.6 mm in dimensions and weighs in at 165 grams.
On the inside, a quad-core Spreadtrum processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space, expandable up to 32GB via microSD. For photography, a rear facing 5MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies and video chats.
The Micromax Canvas Spark 4G as naming suggests supports 4G LTE networks in India as well as Voice over LTE (VoLTE), GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery, boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and arrives in a mix of White and Champagne Gold colours. Pricing starts at Rs. 4999 (US$ 75).
