Micromax has announced a new 3G-enabled Voice Calling Tablet – Micromax Canvas Tab P681 in India. Priced at Rs. 7499 (USD 112), the new 8-inch entry-level slate joins the already long list of tablets with voice calling capability in the Canvas Tab series and is exclusive to Flipkart.
Dressed in a plastic polycarbonate body, the Micromax Canvas Tab P681 has a 1280 x 800 pixels (WXGA) screen resolution on its 8-inch IPS display, Dual Box speakers and is backed by a sizeable 4000mAh battery which should go through a day of mixed usage.
On the inside, it is equipped with a quad-core MediaTek MT8321 processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB built-in expandable storage space and Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the preinstalled operating system (OS).
In the camera aspect, there is a rear facing 5MP camera with LED flash, along with a front facing 2MP camera for video chats and maybe selfies. DTS sound is thrown in the mix for quality audio performance. The Micromax Canvas Tab P681 has a single SIM slot and supports 2G and 3G but not LTE networks.
Other connectivity options on the Canvas Tab P681 include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG.
