Micromax has announced two budget smartphones in the Vdeo range – the Micromax Vdeo 1 and Micromax Vdeo 2. Both smartphones come pre-installed with Google Duo video calling app, boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, supports Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and a free Jio SIM card.
Priced at Rs. 4,440 (US$ 66), the Micromax Vdeo 1 sports a 4-inch IPS display with 800 x 480 screen resolution and backed by a 1600mAh battery while the Micromax Vdeo 2 has a tad bigger 4.5-inch display with 854 x 480 screen resolution, 1800mAh battery capacity and Rs. 4,990 (US$ 74).
Sporting an all metal body design, the duo pack a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, 1GB RAM, 8GB built-in storage space, a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB, front facing 2MP camera, rear facing 5MP camera and 4G LTE network support with VoLTE.
Micromax is expected to launch the Vdeo 3 and Vdeo 4 in the country coming months.
