Microsoft and Swedish Audio accessories maker, Coloud has teamed up on a new headset called Hoop by Coloud for Microsoft Lumia smartphones. It is an in-ear headset which is built for those with energetic lifestyle and those who work out on a timely basis.
Designed by Microsoft, the ultra lightweight headphones are dust, sweat and splash resistant. It comes with an adjustable support loop which helps keeps the earpiece in the ear without slipping out or serving as distraction when activities like workouts and running are being performed. The cable is tangle free and coated with reflective materials which makes people visible in the dark. Around the body of the headser it has volume rocker buttons and answer/end keys which allows it pick and end calls without lifting the device.
Moving to the tech specs – the Hoop By Coloud headset weighs 20.5 grams, 32 ohm speaker impedance, frequency response of 20 – 20,000 Hz, 3.5 mm stereo headset connector, cable length is 120cm (1.2m) and can operate in any region where the temperature ranges from -5 and +40 degrees Celsius (23 – 104 degrees Fahrenheit).
Hoop by Coloud is already available in Europe for €29 ($33) in Green, Orange and Black colour variants. Its availability in other regions is unknown yet. It is compatible with any Lumia smartphone but Microsoft has recommended using headset the new Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL smartphones.
