Microsoft has unveiled the Lumia 640 smartphone at the MWC 2015. The smartphone uses a quad-core snapdragon 400 processor and run on Windows Phone 8.1.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 is available in Dual SIM 3G variants as well as single SIM or Dual SIM LTE variants options. The 3G variants costs €139 ($155 or N32,000); while the LTE model cost €159 ($177 or N36,000) before tax and subsidies. Cyan, White and Matte Black are the available colour options, shipping start Globally by April.
Specs-wise the Microsoft Lumia 640 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD clearback IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB).
Other specs details includes – a main 8MP AF camera with LED flash, front 1MP camera, 4G LTE/3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/aGPS, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
It currently runs on Windows Phone 8.1 OS with Lumia Denim; it would be upgradeable to Windows 10 OS for phones once the global rollout begins. It also comes with 60 minutes of internation skype calling per month, 1TB of OneDrive storage and 1 year of Office 365 subscription.
