Alongside the Microsoft Lumia 640; the company also announced a phablet running on Windows Phone 8.1. The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL also comes with a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Windows Phone 8.1 OS.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL is available in Single SIM or Dual SIM LTE variant and Dual SIM 3G variant. It is price at €189 ($219) for the 3G variant and €211 ($245) for the LTE variant. Black, White, Cyan and orange are the available colour options; shipping starts Globally from March.
Moving to the specs, the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL features a 5.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD ClearBack IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 305 GPU, 1Gb of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion (up to 128GB).
Other specs features – 13MP autofocus camera with LED flash, a front 5MP camera, 4G LTE/3G, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/aGPS and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
The device comes with one year of office 365 subscription, 1TB One Drive storage and 60 minutes of international Skype calling per month. It would boot Windows Phone 8.1 OS with Lumia Denim out-of-the-box but is upgradeable to Windows 10 OS for mobile once it becomes commercially available.
