Microsoft’s lower midrange and entry-level smartphone are one of the most updated in the markets – the company has the likes of Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 430 and Lumia 540 Dual SIM released in the space of two to three months.
Some days ago, we got report of the Redmond Giant working on four smartphones – two midrange and two flagship smartphone. The two midrange smartphones are the Lumia 740 XL and the Lumia 840 while the two flagship are the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL.

The Microsoft Lumia 840 is touted to be the natural successor to the Microsoft Lumia 830. It is said to sport the same screen size as the Lumia 830 at 5-inches. The camera has also been improved it would use a 5MP front facing camera and either 13 or 14Megapixels PureView Main camera with CarlZeiss optics. It would come Dual SIM slots and is expected to be powered by a more powerful chipset at least a 64-bit SoC.
The device, disappointedly would run Windows Phone 8.1 OS with GDR2 update but would be upgradable to Windows 10 when it is commercially available. Windows 10 is said to be reserved for the Upcoming Windows Lumia 940 flagship (and Lumia 940 XL).
Citing the withdrawal of the Microsoft Lumia 830 on the official Windows Store in India; the Microsoft Lumia 840 is said to be near it’s launch date.
