The Microsoft Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL are supposedly upcoming flagships from the company. While there is no official confirmation on their existence, renders of both devices have popped up on Facebook courtesy of Microsoft Lovers.
The Microsoft Lumia 940 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 3D touch technology courtesy of Intel Real Sense and has an aluminium unibody. The processor option depends on the storage variant; the 32GB version would be powered by an Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor while the 64GB/128GB would be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 815 processor. All processor options are paired with 3GB of RAM which will handle the basic tasks.
The main camera is a 25MP PureView camera with CarlZeiss lens, triple-tone LED flash and 3rd Gen Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The front camera is a 5MP snapper and is backed by a 3250mAh battery.
Both the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL run Windows 10 OS out-of-the box but the Microsoft Lumia 940 XL comes with some slight differences. It keeps most of the specs of the Lumia 940 except – it uses a 5.7-inch QuadHD display, comes with a Digital Stylus pen, it has 4GB of RAM and is backed by a 3950mAh battery.
