Microsoft Lumia 940 XL phablet Specs spotted on Benchmark Lisiting

Microsoft has been tipped to announce two flagship Lumia smartphones – the Microsoft Lumia 940 smartphone and the Microsoft Lumia 940 XL phablet to complement the launch of the Windows 10 OS for mobile. The Lumia 940 XL is the bigger variant of the Lumia 940 with both smartphone tipped to launch later this year. 

The Microsoft Lumia 940 XL phablet  is listed on the benchmark website – GFXBench with the codename – Nokia RM1100 and the listing confirms some of the specs of the upcoming device

The Lumia 940 XL phablet features a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) QHD display and is powered by an octa-core processor believed to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU. Handling task on the device is 1.5GB of RAM (2GB is the most likeliest) and 16GB space of internal storage with about 14GB available to the user. 

On the rear, the device would use nothing less than a 17MP camera but previous leaks expected the camera to be at 20MP and it would record 4K videos. On the front is a 5MP camera which can record FHD videos. It supports LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and is also tipped to come with a USB Type-C Port. 

The battery capacity on the Microsoft Lumia 940 XL phablet is tipped to be around 3300mAh and the device would run Windows 10 OS out-of-the-box. Microsoft is also expected to throw in Iris Scanning technology and some other perks along with the device.
