Microsoft Unveil Surface Go 2 and Surface Book 3

Microsoft has announced new additions to the Surface family of devices – the Microsoft Surface Go 2 with Windows 10 Home in S mode and Microsoft Surface Book 3 with Windows 10 Home. Both devices are immediately available for pre-order online and will be available in the US starting May 12 (Surface Go 2) and May 21 (Surface Book 3).

The Surface Go 2 – successor to the 10.1-inch Surface Go – has a bigger 10.5-inch PixelSense display with the same 3:2 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, the 2-in-1 laptop offers up to 8th Gen Intel Core M processor options for up to 64% faster performance, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 128GB of SSD storage and up to 10 hours of battery life. It also offers support for writing, drawing and other tasks with the Surface Pen.

The rest of the specs include 8MP AF rear camera, 5MP front camera, 1x USB Type-C port, 1x Surface Type Cover Port, 1x Surface Connect, 1x MicroSDXC card reader, 3.5mm headphone jack and Dual Studio Mics. It is available in Wi-Fi only and WiFi + LTE A models, and arrives in Black, Ice Blue, Platinum, Black and Poppy Red colour choices for a price tag starting at US$ 399.99.

Microsoft Surface Book 3

According to Microsoft, the Surface Book 3 is the most powerful and fastest Surface laptop yet. The new addition to the Surface Book family currently sits behind the Surface Book 2 and the original Surface Book. Available in 13.5-inch and 15-inch PixelSense touchscreen displays, the laptop promises of up to 32GB RAM, pro-grade SSD, up to 17.5 hours of battery life, 10th Gen Intel Core processor options with either discrete NVIDIA® GeForce GTX™ or Quadro RTX™ GPUs and up to 50% better performance when compared to the Surface Book 2.

It offers the same camera setup as the Surface Go 2 and offer the option of NVIDIA GeForce GTX™ GPU on the 15-inch model to support high-end gaming and NVIDIA Quadro RTX™ 3000 to meet the needs of commercial customers and higher education institutions. The rest of the specs include full keyboard with large responsive trackpad, 2x USB-A port, 1x USB C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, 2 x Surface Connect ports and Full-size SDXC card reader. Pricing starts at US$ 1,599.\
