Leagoo has announced a mid-range device in China – the Leagoo Alfa 1. The 3G-only phablet sized device with 7.9mm thin body is available in Black, Rose Gold (or Pink) and White colours for a price tag equivalent to US$ 100 and will be available starting December 31st 2015.
The Leagoo Alfa 1 sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS Multi Touch capacitive touchscreen display with a pixel density of 267ppi and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-400 MP1 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space.
For photography, there is a 13-megapixels SONY camera with LED flash and a front facing 5-megapixels camera for selfies as well as video chats. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for expansion up to 64GB. Connectivity options on the device includes – USB OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, micro USB v2.0 port and 3G.
Measuring 156.2 x 76 x 7.9 mm in dimension and weighing 163 grams in size; the Leagoo Alfa 1 has Dual SIM with Dual Standby, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by an ample-sized 3000mAh battery which should last up to a day or more of usage.
