Not content with having only its new flagships – the Oppo R9 and R9 Plus in the market, Oppo has announced a new low mid-range device called the Oppo A37. The 5 incher is currently sold by China Telecom for a price tag of CNY 1299 (US$ 190) in Gold and Rose Gold colour options.
Based on the dated Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the company’s ColorOS skin ontop and backed by a reasonable 2550mAh battery, the Oppo A37 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and a pixel density of 294ppi.
Under the hood, it relies on a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with ARM Mali-T860 MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage. The device packs Dual SIM slots (Micro + Nano), measures 143.1 x 71.0 x 7.68 mm in dimensions and weighs in at 140.0 grams.
For photography, there is a front facing 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats; and a rear facing 8-megapixel camera with LED flash. The Oppo A37 supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks as well as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, micro USB 2.0 and NFC options.
