Japanese mobile operator, NTT DoCoMo has announced a new mid-range smartphone by Sharp; the device in question is the Sharp Aquos SH-M02. It will be sold on the carrier (exclusively) in Japan for a price tag equivalent to around $324 (38,800 Japanese Yen). Available colour options are Red and White.
Moving to the specs, the Sharp Aquos SH-M02 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD). It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor MSM8926 processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB native storage spaace.
The main camera is a 13.1 megapixels on the rear with LED flash, the front camera is a 2.1 megapixels for selfies and for additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB. Connectivity options the device – Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Infrared Port and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4 – up to 150Mbps download speed).
The Sharp Aquos SH-M02 has a single Nano SIM slot, measures 134 x 71 x 9.9mm in dimensions, weighs 145 grams and is IPX5/X7 certified for Waterproof as well as Dustproof. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by a not-so-huge but reasonable 2450mAh battery.
