Philippines based, Starmobile has announced a new phablet sized mid-range offering – the Starmobile UP Ultra. It is available in varying colour options – Coffee, Dark Blue and Gray for a price tag of Php 6490 (US$ 138) from starmobile shops and resellers in the country.
The Starmobile UP Ultra joins the company’s Super Pack line-up and comes bundled with a free Smart Prepaid SIM with over Php 4,000 (US$ 85) of FREE LTE data services. It is powered by a 64-bit Mediatek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space.
The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and sports a 5.5-inch On-Cell IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD), a pixel density of 267ppi, measures 146.5 x 74.9 x 8.1mm in dimensions and weighs 145 grams in size. There is support for 2G/3G/4G networks and other connectivity options includes – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, IR Blaster, GPS/AGPS and FM Radio.
Backed by a 2500mAh Li-ion battery which could provide up to 19 hours talk time and 16.6 days standby time; the Starmobile UP Ultra has Dual SIM slots with Dual 4G LTE standby and also a microSD card slot for additional storage up to 32GB.
For photography, there is a 13MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP Fixed Focus camera for selfies. Flashing a peace sign automatically takes selfies.
