Midrange Huawei C8818 Certified On TENAA; Specs In Tow

Huawei has an event scheduled for April 15th and asides the Huawei P8 flagship, the company has plans to launch other phones too. An example is the widely leaked Huawei P8 Lite and a new device – the Huawei C8818 which has been certified by TENAA in China. The C8818 packs midrange specs, skips Android Lollipop OS by sticking with Android Kitkat and supports 4G LTE Connectivity.

Moving to the specs, The Huawei C8818 features a 5-inch TFT display with 1280 X 720 pixels HD resolution and has 3 capacitive touchscreen buttons below the display. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core processor (HiSilicon Kirin ???) which clocks at 1.5GHz with 2GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage.

A microSD card slot is expected to be on-board to support storage expansion. It measures 8.8mm in thickness (full dimensions – 143.3 X 71.9 X 8.8mm), weighs 162 grams, supports 4G LTE connectivity and runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS.

 The main camera is a 13MP unit which has LED flash and can record 1080p videos; there is a front facing 5MP camera for selfies on-board. Connectivity options on the Huawei C8818 includes – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, 4G LTE (LTE FDD & TD-LTE).

Judging by the company’s naming scheme for some devices – the Huawei C8818 could be the final name for the device and this could see it launch alongside the Huawei P8 and P8 Lite by Mid-April in London.
