Thailand based, I-Mobile has announced a new midrange smartphone in form of the I-Mobile IQ XPRO 3. The smartphone sized device is powered by an Octa-core SoC, comes with an AMOLED display and supports LTE connectivity.
The I-Mobile IQ XPRO 3 is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor clocked at 1.5GHz, has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD AMOLED display and runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS.
There is 2GB of RAM onboard, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB. The website listing actually suggests the device uses a 18MP/8MP camera combination on the rear and front while that could be a typo error, it is possible we are looking at a 8MP/1.8MP camera combination.
Measuring 145 x 70.2 x 6.5 mm in dimensions, the I-Mobile IQ XPRO 3 weighs 132.3 grams, supports Dual SIM slots plus SIM eject tool, has FM Radio and FM Radio recording. Asides 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4 – upto 150Mbps download) connectivity, the device also supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot and micro USB.
The I-Mobile IQ XPRO 3 is backed by a 2260mAh battery which is expected to provide up to 10 hours of talktime and 200 hours of standby time. The device is only expected in the Thailand market but there is no word on pricing yet.
Had a look at one of these the other day. Just to confirm the cameras are 18/8, it has gorilla glass and they are asking 7900 Baht for it.
The listing had to be translated so we didn’t rule out any possibilities and about the pricing, that’s about $220 as at the current rates.
