On the eve of Diwali in India, Intex has launched a smartphone in the midrange category and in the company’s Aqua series of smartphone, dubbed the Intex Aqua Amaze. This month alone has seen four smartphones from the company – the Aqua X, the Aqua Slice, the Aqua Y2 Pro plus the Aqua Amaze.
Moving to the specs, the Intex Aqua Amaze features a 1.4GHz octa-core (MediaTek MT6592M) processor, 5-inch (540×960 pixels) HD IPS OGS Display, 1GB of RAM 8GB of inbuilt storage and a microSD card slot for expansion (up to 32GB).
On the rear is a 13MP rear autofocus camera with flash and a front-facing 5MP camera for video calls and selfies. The rear camera comes with different software features which includes – HDR, self timer, tap to capture, voice capture options, multi-angle view, panorama, face beauty, smile shot and face detection. Connectivity wise the device has 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options.
The newly announced Intex Aqua Amaze runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box, comes with dual-SIM (WCDMA +GSM) and measures 145.5x70x7.6mm. The smartphone packs a 2000mAh battery which is expected to deliver around 7-8 hours of talk time and up to 240 hours of standby time.
The Intex Aqua Amaze comes with a Rs. 10,690 price tag and available in Light Blue and Black Colour variants. The device would be available across all popular retail outlets in the country.
