Mobile Star has announced a new low-cost smartphone – the mobiistar LAI Yuki in Vietnam. The 5-inch sized device is available in the Vietnamese market for a price tag of VND 2,590,000 Vietnamese Dong (US$ 116).
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the mobiistar LAI Yuki sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and a pixel density of 294 ppi. It measures 143 x 69.8 x 7.3 mm in dimensions, weigh 123 grams in size and is backed by a decent 2200mAh battery.
Under the hood, it relies on a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with ARM Mali-400 MP GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. The device has Dual SIM slots (Nano + Micro) and a microSD card slot for additional storage space up to 32GB.
For photography, there is a front facing 5-megapixels camera for video calls and selfies; and a rear facing 8-megapixels camera with LED flash, capable of recording 1080p Full HD videos @30fps. The mobiistar LAI Yuki supports 2G and 3G networks as well as Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB, Wi-Fi Hotspot connectivity options.
