Modest Vivo Y51 goes official with qHD screen, 4G LTE and Android Lollipop

Nearly a day after announcing the Vivo X6 and X6 Plus, Vivo has quietly listed up the Vivo Y51 on its official website which makes it official. The device which has a mix of low-end and midrange has been certified by TENAA in China and most of the specifications has been detailed.

The Vivo Y51 is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 2GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot foe storage expansion up to 128GB. It sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of (960 x 540 pixels) qHD display.

For photography, there is a front facing 5-megapixels camera with f/2.4 lens for selfies and video chats; and a rear facing 8-megapixels camera with f/2.0 lens. The device supports 2G GSM, 3G TD-SCDMA and 4G TDD-LTE networks; and also has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, FM Radio and Infrared connectivity options.

The Vivo Y51 measures 143.8 x 71.7 x 7.52mm in dimensions, the size is about 157 grams, has optional Dual SIM slots, run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS with FunTouch OS 2.5 ontop and is backed by a 2350mAh battery.

There is no information on other variants of the Y51 – the Oppo Y51L and Y51A which would see a similar quiet launching.
