Montblanc Summit 2 – First Smartwatch with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100

German luxury brand, Montblanc has unveiled the Montblanc Summit 2‎ – the ‎first  ever wearable powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear 3100 (SDW3100)‎ smartwatch platform. It ‎is the follow-up to the Montblanc Summit and based on Google’s revamped Wear OS.

The Montblanc Summit 2 combines a ‎premium design with built-in smartwatch features and retains the rotating crown from the Summit but adds two new buttons on either side. It has four different case finish and 11 strap options including calfskin and Milanese steel as well as over 1,000 watch faces.

The smartwatch has a 1.2 inch AMOLED circular display, with curved sapphire glass covering, 42mm case, 1GB of RAM,  8GB storage, NFC chip for contactless payment via Google Pay, GPS, 5ATM Water resistance rating and ‎a week of battery life on time-only mode. ‎

The Montblanc Travel info app provides relevant local travellers information and the Timeshifter app helps in minimising the effects of jet lag and adjusting to new time zones. There is also the Montblanc Running Coach app, which lets the user track fitness level, specify goals and personalise training methods. Pricing starts at £849/$995 for the Montblanc Summit 2.
