Motorola (Lenovo) has announced the launch of the new ‘Moto E’ budget smartphones – the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus. The duo pack a metal body with water-repellent coating, 4G VoLTE support, fingerprint sensor (home button), front camera flash and come pre-installed with Android 7.1 Nougat OS.
Motorola Moto E4
Priced starting at US$ 129.99 or EUR 149, the Moto E4 sports a 5-inch 720p HD 2.5D curved glass display, single or dual Nano SIM slots and a removable 2,800mAh battery with 5W fast charging. It relies on a quad-core processor (Qualcomm or Mediatek) paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage.
For photography, there is a rear 8MP AF camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 71-degrees lens and 1.12um pixel size, along with a front 5MP FF camera with f/2.2 aperture, 74-degree lens and LED flash for selfies. The Moto E4 measures 144.5 x 72 x 9.3 mm, weighs 150 grams and supports 4G VoLTE.
Motorola Moto E4 Plus
Priced a bit higher at US$ 179.99 or EUR 199, the Moto E4 Plus has the same design and features as the Moto E4, however it features a bigger 5.5-inch HD display, 2GB or 3GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB built-in storage and a 5,000mAh built-in battery with 10W fast charging, that promises up to two days of use.
The rear camera has also been upped to a 13MP AF snapper with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1.12 um pixel size and 78-degrees lens. The E4 Plus measures 155 x 77.5 x 9.55 mm, and weighs 181 grams.
