Motorola is expanding its portfolio with the first smartphone based on the Android Go edition. Dubbed the Moto E5 Play Android Oreo (Go Edition), the latest entrant to the Moto E family will be available starting this month in various markets in Europe and Latin America for a price tag starting at EUR 109 and GBP 99.95 in the UK.
The Moto E5 Play Android Oreo (Go Edition), which currently ranks behind the already cheap Moto E5 Play, comes pre-loaded with Android Oreo Go but has a slightly bigger display, less memory and smaller battery. It packs a 5.34-inch Max Vision display with 18:9 aspect ratio, 1GB of RAM, and 2,100mAh battery compared to the 5-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM and 2,800mAh battery on the Moto E5 Play.
The device is based on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 mobile platform along with 16GB built-in storage, rear fingerprint sensor (located inside the Motorola logo), front facing 5MP selfie camera with LED flash and rear 8MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash.
As expected, the Moto E5 Play Android Oreo (Go Edition) will arrive with few pre-installed apps as well as the optimised apps such as Gmail Go, Google Go, YouTube Go, Google Maps Go and Google Assistant Go. Black, Dark lake and Flash Gray are the available colour options.
