Having already retired only the Motorola name but not the Moto brand, Lenovo is planning to launch new Moto devices – the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India. The duo are expected to launch at a special event scheduled for May 17th. There is no word on pricing yet.
The Moto G4 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and water resistant body. It relies on an octa-core Qualcomm snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space.
In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 13-megapixel camera with Laser AutoFocus, Dual-Tone Flash and 1080p Full HD recording; the front camera is a 5-megapixel snapper with OmniVision OV5693 sensor. It supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks, runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS and depends on a 3000mAh Battery for energy. other connectivity options includes – Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC and GPS.
The Moto G4 Plus steps a notch higher with 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space, rear facing 16-megapixel camera with Laser AutoFocus Dual-Tone flash, and a fingerprint scanner. The rest of the specs including the 3000mAh Battery and Android Marshmallow are similar to that of the Moto G4.
