Motorola (now a Google owned company) Moto 360 Smartwatch was announced in March 2014 as part of Google’s Android Wear collection including the upcoming smartwatch from LG, the LG G Watch and the Android Wear OS, which is specifically designed for wearables.

According to French Website, Le Journal du Geek, the Moto 360 smartwatch features: Sapphire Glass – To protect the Moto 360 from scratch, knocks and scrapes; round OLED display, interact with Google Now services, would run on the recently Android Wear OS and be voice controlled. The device can however not make calls nor take pictures but the device has removable strap and can be customised to user taste.

The Moto 360 smartwatch would be rivalled by the Samsung wearable devices – Gear 2 Neo, the original Samsung Gear and Gear 2. Recent report shows that Samsung currently dominates the smartwatch market with over 71% markets share due to the sales of its Samsung Galaxy Gear.
