In what is described as the shortest press announcement ever, Motorola has officially announced a not-so new flagship smartphone – the Motorola Moto X Force. It is not-so new because it basically the global version of the US/Verizon-exclusive Droid Turbo 2.
One of the main highlight of the device is the Shatterproof display which is made possible by Motorola’s new Moto Shattershield feature; the device also has advanced Nano coating for repelling liquid substance (but not waterproof) and can be customised to desired taste using the Moto Maker
Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, the Motorola Moto X Force sports a 5.4-inch QHD AMOLED display, powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB internal storage. The main camera is a 21MP f2.0 snapper with PDAF while the front camera is 5MP f/2.0 snapper for selfies.
Backed by a 3670mAh battery, the device promises up to 13 hours of power on 15minutes of charge made possible by TurboPower charging and up to 48 hours of battery life. It has a single SIM slot, microSD card slot (up to 2TB), measures 7.6 – 9.2mm thin, weighs 169 grams and 4G LTE/3G HSPA+ as well as NFC connectivity.
The Motorola Moto X Force will be available in various markets in the Latin America, APAC (Asia Pacific) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) regions starting this November but the pricing is not revealed yet.
