Initially expected to official with the Moto Z and Moto Z Force last month; the Motorola Moto Z Play (XT1635-03) has been gearing up to make its own grand entrance into the market, recently surfacing on AnTuTu Weibo page. The Base model is expected to go on sale for a price tag starting around US$ 300 (CNY 1999) in China.
According to the listing, the Motorola Moto Z Play Specs starts off with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) screen resolution and boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box and should receive the upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat, when available.
On the inside, the device relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The model here packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space but there is reportedly another model, obviously cheaper, with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space.
Both storage options above are expandable via a microSD card slot. In the camera segment, the device has a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chats; and a rear facing 16MP camera with LED flash. There are chances the Moto Z Play will also support modular accessories (Moto Mods) like the other duo in the Moto Z series.
