Fresh off the launch of the Moto G6 and Moto E5 series smartphones, Lenovo’s Motorola is reportedly putting the final touches on its upcoming Moto Z3 smartphone series. One of the options from the Z3 series, the Motorola Moto Z3 Play has surfaced online with metal body build with glass back, edge-to-edge 18:9 display, protruded dual rear cameras and a side mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Moto Z3 Play will arrive in multiple colour options including a ‘Deep Indigo’ option. It inherits the series’ modular design (i.e the rear 16-pin connector snapping Moto Mods into place) and sports a 6.1-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
Internally, the Moto Z2 Play successor comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS and relies on the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 mobile platform paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage. There is also a bigger 64GB storage variant and a microSD card slot which accepts up to 2TB cards.
For photography, the device has a 12MP + 8MP dual rear camera setup and a front placed 5MP camera for selfies. It also features USB Type-C port and depends on a 3,000mAh battery with TurboCharging. There is no word yet on pricing, availability and the launch date.
