Motorola One Action Debuts with 117° Ultra-Wide Action Cam

Lenovo’s Motorola has unveiled its new camera-centric Android One smartphone – the Motorola One Action. The device’s AI-powered triple camera system includes a primary 12MP (f/1.8, 1.25µm pixels, PDAF) camera for images and videos, 5MP depth camera for both portrait shots & bokeh effects, and a third industry-first 117º ultra-wide action video camera with 16MP sensor and 4-in-1 quad pixel binning technology. Moto AI features such as auto smile capture, smart composition and shot optimization are all onboard, meanwhile, the action camera can record videos in landscape formats while the phone is being held upright.

Pre-loaded with Android 9 Pie (Android One), the smartphone has a 6.3-inch CinemaVision 21:9 Full HD+ IPS display, 12MP selfie camera in the punch-hole on the display, 128GB built-in storage and microSD card slot (accepts up to 512GB cards). It is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9609 octa-core processor – same found on the Motorola One Vision, packs 4GB of RAM and depends on a 3,500mAh battery with 10W charger, which lasts up to 11 hours of movie and 6.5 hours of standby time.
