Alongside the Moto Z3 and the Moto E5 Plus, Motorola launched the Motorola P30 at a launch event in Wuhan, China. The midranger has an iPhone X-style notch which makes the display taller and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM.
The Motorola P30 has a 6.2-inch (2248 x 1080 pixels) FHD+ IPS LCD display with 19:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D Curved Glass and water-repellent nano coating. It arrives with a USB Type-C port, fingerprint sensor in the rear Moto logo, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack and backed by a 3,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
It supports Dolby Atmos, face unlock and comes pre-loaded with Android Oreo OS with ZUI 4.0. Asides the notch, the device also has the same rear camera design as the iPhone X. The rear dual setup is composed of 16MP (f/1.8) + 5MP (f/2.2) OmniVision sensors with PDAF, 1080p video shooting and Background Blur. The front camera is a 12MP (f/2.0) sensor with 1.25 um pixel size.
The Motorola P30 is available in 64GB and 128GB storage options for a price tag of 2,099 (~US$ 304) and CNY 2,499 (~US$ 363) respectively. It is available in Aurora Blue, Bright Black and Ice White colours, and could launch later as the Moto P30 and Motorola One Power outside China.
Motorola is expected to launch the P30 Note and P30 Play at some point in the future too.
