Mstar S700 Pro Specs unveiled – Android 5.1, Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM

Chinese company, Mstar is planning to release a monstrous smartphone – the Mstar S700 Pro in October. The Chinese company could be ready to change the perception people already have concerning their cheap Knock-off devices with doesn’t always turn out that good.

Taking a look at the design, the Mstar S700 Pro has a CNC Zinc alloy body build, measures 6.1mm in thinness and 1.3mm thin bezels around the screen. It rocks a 5.5-inch 2.5D Gorilla Glass display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD) and around 79% screen to body ratio.

Mstar’s S700 Pro could be one of the first set of smartphones to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 which is said to be built on a 14nm process and clocks at 3.0GHz.

The chipset would be paired with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage. Those not contented with the internal storage has an option to extend the storage with a microSD card further up to 128GB.

For photography purposes, the Mstar S700 Pro has a 21MP rear camera with Sony Exmor RS IMX234 Sensor, LED Flash and 4K recording Capabilities. The front facing is a 11MP snapper with OmniVision sensor. 

There is an Ultrasonic Sense fingerprint  sensor onboard – a feature that comes with the SD820 chipset. The Mstar S700 Pro would run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, come with the USB Type-C connectivity and be backed by a 3500mAh battery.

The device is expected to retail for $499.99 which is very cheap compared to its specs. However, MStar is not on the same Level as ZTE, Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo or OnePlus, it is very hard to see who will shell that kind of amounf for a company notorious for sub standard devices.
