Russian based Telco operator, Mobile TeleSystems has announced a new entry-level device under its own branding – the MTS SMART Sprint 4G. The device is designed and manufactured by popular Chinese electronics maker, Haier.
Moving to the specs, the MTS SMART Sprint 4G sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels (FWVGA), powered by a 64-bit Mediatek MT6735M quad-core processor clocked at 1.0GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage.
The main camera is a 5MP rear facing snapper with Flash, a front facing 3MP snapper for selfies and for additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion. Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n, GPS, MicroUSB 2.0 and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4).
The device is compatible with FDD-LTE network bands – FDD-LTE B7/B3/ B20. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the MTS SMART Sprint 4G has Dual Micro SIM slots (which the report states is not network locked) and is backed by a 1800mAh Lithium-Ion battery.
In terms of pricing and availability, the MTS SMART Sprint 4G is exclusive to Russia and will sell for a price tag of RUB 6490 ($105). Black seems to be the only colour option.
