Acer alongside the Liquid M220 windows phone, announced three other Android smartphone in the company’s Z series – the 64-bit Acer Liquid Jade Z and the entry-level Acer Liquid Z220 and Liquid Z520 and they all run Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
The Acer Liquid Jade Z is the most advanced of the trio, it comes with a 64-bit enabled processor, LTE-ready and caters for the mid-range category. It features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, powered by a 64-bit MediaTek processor. The device is covered with Gorilla Glass 3 for protection and uses a new zero air technology on it.
Other specs details of the Acer Liquid Jade Z includes – 13MP main camera with LED flash, a 5MP front camera for video chats and selfies. It measures 7.9mm in thickness, weighs 110 grams and is LTE ready. The device share so many features with the Acer Liquid Jade S; it would be available in March with a €199 price tag.
The Acer Liquid Z220 features a 4-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) display, powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB of RAM, 2MP front camera and 5MP main camera with LED flash. It has voice-activated selfie mode when the camera is active.
The Acer Liquid Z520 on the other hand uses a 5-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM, 2MP fromt camera, 8MP main camera with LED flash and DTS studio sound speaker on the rear.
The Acer Liquid Z220 would be available in March for a €89 price tag and the Acer Liquid Z520 for €109 in April.
Acer is also throwing three new usage modes in the mix with the Basic Mode meant for the kids, offers fixed text and call tools; the Standard Mode for users who don’t want their hand-held and the Easy Mode for users who want simple functions like weather and calling.
