Chinese smartphone manufacturer, ZOPO has announced a new smartphone at the on-going MWC 2015; the ZOPO TOUCH (ZOPO ZP530) comes with a 2.5D curved glass display which can be likened to that found on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and the Blackberry Slider.
The ZOPO TOUCH sports a 5-inch 2.5D curved (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with ON-CELL full-fitted technology and reaches up to 95% NTSC value. It has Nine (9) membrane layers embedded into the back cover, has a metal frame with a glossy durable look.
Under the hood, there is an octa-core MediaTek MT6732 SoC with 1.5GHz quad-core CPU with Mali T760 GPU 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. On th rear is a 8MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera with wide angle lens for selfies.
Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. There is no word if it supports LTE networks but it sure packs an array of sensors such as L-Sensor, Gravity sensor, accelerometer, geomagnetic sensor and range sensor.
The ZOPO TOUCH/ZP530 runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, comes with Dual SIM support and is backed by a 2100mAh battery. There is no word on pricing and availability at the moment but it would be readily available in the company’s home country.
