Sony has officially announced a new smartphone series at the MWC 2016. The Japanese device maker lifted the veil off the Sony Xperia X series – the Sony Xperia X, Sony Xperia X Performance and Sony Xperia XA.
All three devices will arrive in time for Summer 2016 in Single SIM & Dual SIM options as well as Graphite Black, Lime Gold, Rose Gold and White colours options.
Sony Xperia X
The Sony Xperia X kick-starts the Xperia series of smartphones from Sony; it sports a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, measures 7.9 mm thick and is backed backed by a 2620mAh battery. It relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor with 3GB of RAM, either 32GB (Single SIM) or 64GB (Dual SIM) and a microSD card slot.
The Xperia X excels in the camera segment having Sony’s signature Smart Capture camera that has a Predictive Hybrid Autofocus and a 23MP, 1/2.3″ Exmor RS sensor and an f/2.0 lens, while the front snapper is a 13MP 1/3″ Exmor RS sensor and an f/2.0 lens.

Sony Xperia X Performance
The Sony Xperia X Performance improves on the performance of the Xperia X; it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space. The design sees brushed metal (or hairline) finish on the Black and White colour options.

It is heavier (165 grams), thicker (8.7mm), IP68 certified for dust & water resistance, support 4G LTE connectivity (LTE Cat.9) and is backed by a bigger 2700mAh battery.
Sony Xperia XA
Having specs directly opposite to other Sony Xperia X series device s- the Xperia X and Xperia X Performance, the Sony Xperia XA sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD edge-to-edge curved display, powered by the MediaTek MT6755 (Helio P10) processor clocked at 2.0GHz with ARM Mali-T860 GPU.
Housed in a plastic body build, the Xperia XA packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage space, microSD card slot for storge expansion, front facing 8MP camera, rear facing 13MP camera and a 2300mAh battery with QNS adaptive charging (up to two days of battery life).
