BARCELONA, Spain – Alcatel announced three new smartphones – the Alcatel A5 LED, Alcatel U5 and Alcatel A3, alongside the Alcatel PLUS 12 2-in-1 Windows 10 Tablet at the Mobile World Congress 2017. The trio are targeted at the future (young consumers) and energetic entertainment seekers but stuck in the past with Android 6.0 Marchmallow OS onboard.
Alcatel A5 LED
The Alcatel A5 LED is said to be the world’s first interactive LED-covered smartphone. It offers an array of dazzling and unique customisable LED light shows. The back cover is removable and other cover options such as a battery pack and speaker back are in the offering.
The device sports a 5.2-inch HD display, powered by an octa-core processor, 4G LTE connectivity support and Private Mode Feature. For photography, there is a rear facing 8MP camera with Dual Tone Flash and front 5MP Selfie Camera with Flash. The camera is equipped with features such as Face Beauty software and Face Show.
