The NETGEAR Orbi Voice was one of the exciting devices announced at the IFA 2018. The latest addition to NETGEAR’s Orbi line of mesh Wi-Fi routers, is a premium smart speaker with full support for Amazon’s Alexa in an Orbi Voice Satellite unit and features audio by Harman Kardon.
The NETGEAR Orbi Voice is an AC2200 tri-band mesh Wi-Fi system with beam-forming across both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. It is designed to link up with any Orbi Wi-Fi system, boosting wireless coverage in homes by up to 2,000 square feet with performance up to 2.2Gbps. It also has four high-performance antennas with amplifiers and two Gigabit Ethernet ports.
With Alexa on-board, it can play music from streaming sites such as Amazon Music, Pandora, Spotify, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, Deezer and more, as well as set reminders, set the alarm, check the weather, get the news, control smart home devices and more. The smart speaker has four far-field microphones, 1-inch front-facing tweeter, 3.5-inch front-facing woofer and 3.5W of peak power.
The NETGEAR Orbi Voice alone is available for $299.99 and bundled with the Orbi RBK50V Router for $429.99.
