Xiaomi through its official Weibo page has announced it would unveil new Redmi series smartphone in China on January 4th 2015. The device is expected to come with Dual SIM support and both SIMS support LTE connectivity.
Xiaomi did not announce the full specifications details of the device but it is expected to come in a myriad of colour options. The smartphone has been spotted on Chinese Certification Agency (TENAA) and most of its specs has been detailed.
According to the listing, the upcoming 4G Redmi series smartphone would feature a 4.7-inch HD display, powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 410 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 2MP front facing camera, 8MP rear camera, Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with MIUI 6.0 ontop and a 2200mAh battery.
The device is expected to have near similar price to the original Redmi 1S smartphone. Xiaomi has also announced it would launch a flagship smartphone in January but the company has not announced any event yet.
