E-Fun (E Fun) released the Nextbook Ares 11 and the device is currently available in the US for a $197 price tag. The E-Fun Nextbook Ares 11 was announced at the CES 2015 earlier this year along several other Android Lollipop OS tablets and was expected to sell for around for $249.
The Nextbook Ares 11 doesn’t pack high-end specs but it belongs to the affordable category so much is expected. For those in need of a tablets running the latest OS and is moderately priced according to its specs, the tablet is not a bad choice at all.
Going over the specs, it sports a 11.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1368 x 768 pixels, powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Bay Trail Z3735G processor with Intel HD graphics, just 1GB of RAM and 64GB space of internal storage. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
The device makes use of 2MP front and rear facing cameras; connectivity options on the slate includes – mini HDMI, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n but no mention of cellular connectivity. It also comes with a Pogo Keyboard (magnetic detachable keyboard) which makes it double as a laptop when attached.
There is no word on the battery capacity but the device is expected to at least last some hours of usage.
