Nexus X (Motorola Shamu) subjected To GeekBench Benchmark tests

It is looking very certain that the upcoming nexus device from Google, the Nexus X (codenamed Motorola Shamu) is heading for a launch date. The Nexus X was put through it paces on the GeekBench; and the high profile device didn’t disappoint against the already available flagship smartphones in the market.

On the Geekbench’s single-core test the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s performs better than the Nexus X however it was ahead of the LG G3, Samsung Galaxy S5, Google Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One M8. At the multi-core results, the Nexus X came out top with Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the iPhone 6 followed by the other listed devices which vied with the device for the single core category.

From what is known so far, the Google Nexus X (Nexus 6) is expected to feature a 5.9-inch QHD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera with OIS, 2MP front camera, 3200mAh battery and would run Android L out-of-the-box.

The Nexus X is also known as the Nexus 6 or the Motorola Shamu as the device would be built by Motorola. The device is expected to be the first ‘big’ Nexus device at 5.9-inch display and I sincerely hope it would be the first nexus device to impress with its camera performance and battery life.

Some sources are tipping an October 13th launch date, let’s just see how it unfolds.
