Nigerian Company, Solo Phones Unveil 3 New Android Smartphones – Solo S400, S410 and S500

SOLO, a Nigerian startup which offers primarily digital services, under the offering Solo Phones launched its first set of smartphones – the Solo S350 and S450 Android powered devices at the end of last year. The company has in a private media event this week launched three new Android smartphones into the market with the Solo S400, S410 and S500.

The Solo S400 features a 4-inch display, powered by 1.2GHz Dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card), 3.2MP front facing camera, front facing VGA camera and 1500mAh battery. The device is available in Black and White colour variant with a silver trim frame.

Solo S410

Solo S410

The Solo S410 sports basically the same specs as the Solo S400, but sports a more premium build and an improved 5MP rear camera. The Solo S410 is available in White and Silver colour variants with Black and Rose-Gold trim frame.

Solo S500

Solo S500

The Solo S500 is highest of the three devices with a more middle budget specifications. The device sports a 5-inch HD display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm chipset, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable via micro SD card), 8MP front facng camera, 2MP front facing camera.

The three devices offers Solo Music and Solo View features.

• Solo Music allows user access free music (both local and foreign) to stream and download directly to the smartphone.

• Solo view provides users with rent and download movies (Nollywood movies currently available, Hollywood movies to be added later) directly to your device at N200 per movie. Movies can also be downloaded a Solo Kiosks and are paid for via recharge scratch cards. While the music download from Solo Music is for a lifetime, rented movies expire in two weeks.

The Solo S400, S410 ans S500 is available for ₦13,000, ₦17,000 and ₦33,000 respectively.
