Phones Rumours

Nokia 1100 with Android Lollipop OS and quad-core MediaTek CPU spotted on Benchmark listing

Nowadays, Nokia stories involving smartphones are taken with no iota of belief in them; the Nokia C1 is an example of such device. The Finnish company is not allowed to make smartphones due to its agreement under its sales terms to Microsoft.

Even though the company announced the metal-clad Nokia N1 tablet of recent which has so far garnered positive reviews and sells-out in any flash sale announced. Another rumour has popped up online and this time it takes us back into time with the Nokia 1100 torchlight phone. The phone has been resurrected but this time it is running an Android OS and packs a relatively low entry-level specs sheet.

The Nokia 1100 Android edition has been spotted on GeekBench with a quad-core Mediatek MT6582 processor clocked at.1.3GHz, the display size is unknown but it uses a 720p (HD) resolution and RAM is reported around 466MB (which could translate to 512MB) and finally the device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box.

There is a lot of pieces about this device which might not really add up and it might just be another curious user throwing another stunt. And perhaps we might be wrong, the resurrection of the Nokia brand is something we all want and we would like to see their long-lasting battery smartphones back in the mobile market.
