Thanks to popular leakster, Evan Blass (@EvLeaks), the first press render of HMD Global’s forthcoming flagship – the Nokia 9 PureView with Penta-Lens Camera, has surfaced on Twitter. According to unofficial sources, the device is scheduled to go official sometime this January.
The Nokia 9 PureView (currently codenamed – Beholder) has a total of five rear cameras complete with ZEISS optics, a single LED flash and an imaging technology known as ‘Range Finder’. One of the features that comes with having this amount of lens is the ability to take up to 5 pictures simultaneously and use the Google Photos app to refocus images.

The device is tipped to sport a 5.99-inch FHD+ or QHD+ 18:9 PureDisplay with HDR10 support, in-display fingerprint sensor (like the Vivo NEX, OPPO R15x and OnePlus 6T), Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform, 6/8GB of RAM, 128GB built-in storage and 4,150mAh battery. It also supports Qi Wireless Charging and will run Android 9.0 Pie.
The Nokia 9 Pureview’s volume and lock/power buttons can be found on the right hand side and Google’s Android One logo sits well below the rear cameras. Depending on the target market, the smartphone is expected to cost around EUR 749 / 799.
