HMD Global, the new company behind the Nokia smartphone brand, has confirmed it will reveal more information about its upcoming smartphones at the MWC 2017 in February. The Finnish coy is expected to announce the Android OS powered Nokia D1C (now official as the Nokia 6 for the Chinese market) and the Nokia E1.
Judging by reports, the Nokia E1 Specs starts off with a 5.2- or 5.3-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution and ship Android 7.0 Nougat OS right out-of-the-box. It will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm snapdragon 425 64-bit processor clocked 1.4GHz and paired with Adreno 308 GPU.
The smartphone packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage space (expandable via microSD) and support for 4G LTE networks. In the camera segment, there is a front facing 5MP Fixed Focus camera for selfies and video chats, alongside a rear facing 13MP Auto Focus camera with LED flash.
The Nokia E1 is expected to go on sale in China for a price tag believed to be equivalent to $150. Latest reports suggests HMD Global could release a total of 6 – 7 smartphone before the end of the year. The range will cut across the entry-level, mid-range and high-end options.
