Nokia Launches the Nokia Lumia 630 alongside Nokia Treasure Tag Mini, Nokia Treasure Tag and Portable Wireless Speaker MD-12

Now owned by Microsoft, Nokia today has unveiled its first dual sim Windows Phone OS powered, the Nokia Lumia 630 alongside the Nokia Treasure Tag, Nokia Treasure Tag Mini and Portable Wireless Speaker MD-12 accessories.

The Nokia Lumia 630 (aka Money Penny) is a mid range budget smartphone which features a 4.5-inch Clearback IPS LCD Touchscreen (480 x 854 pixels, 218ppi), 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512GB RAM, 8GB of Internal storage, 5.0MP rear camera, and 1850mAh battery.

Some of the software features of the Lumia 630 includes Office Apps – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote, OneDrive storage (Cloud service) for documents and HERE Maps, Transit and Drive for navigation purposes. The Nokia Lumia 630 would be available in the market starting this week in two variants, the single SIM model would sell for $175 (around N30,000 in Naira) and the dual-SIM model would sell for $190 (around N35,000 in Naira).

The Nokia Lumia 630 would also come with 4G variant, the Nokia Lumia 635, which is the Lumia 630 with 4G LTE capabilities.

Nokia Treasure tag weighs 13g, measures 30mm x 30mm x 10mm, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and 220mAh with about 6months of battery life.

Nokia Treasure Tag mini weighs 6.2g, measures 30mm x 30mm x 5.8mm, Bluetooth 4.0 (range of 40 meters) and 70mAh battery with about 120days of standby time.

The Nokia Treasure Tag has a tag which allows user clip their accessories and also connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth or NFC. Its helps locate misplaced items as it alerts user once basically when out of range, when you forget to take bags or keys and also helps in locating misplaced and missing objects. The device also locates the Last location of the device with the help of Live Tile Support app on windows phone.

The difference between the Treasure Tag and Treasure Tag Mini is in terms of the size, weight, battery capacity and the presence of NFC and bluetooth in the Treasure Tag compared to the Treasure Tag Mini which is bluetooth only. In order to connect the Nokia Treasure Tag (mini inclusive) and a smartphone, users would need a Lumia Smartphone that’s running the Lumia Black Software and Nokia Treasure Tag app.

The Nokia Treasure Tag would be available in Cyan, Yellow, Black and White colours while the Nokia Treasure Tag Mini’s only colour option is the White colour with Orange loop. The Nokia Treasure Tag is expected to cost $30 (around N5,000 in Naira) and made globally available (except China which get theirs by May ending) and the Nokia Treasure Tag Mini is expected to cost $16.90 (around N2,900 in Naira) and apps for the Android and iOS are also revealed to be be coming nevertheless.
