Nokia Lumia 730 Surfaces online, a $240 price tag tipped

Microsoft has not officially announced the Nokia Lumia 730 (Lumia 730) but this has not stopped the smartphone from popping up in different leaks. The device in question looks like a worthy successor to the Nokia Lumia 720 though its still a midrange device. The Lumia 730 as its being called (the Nokia Moniker may be/has been dropped, who knows?) is codenamed Superman.

The Lumia 730 was said to have been presented internally as a selfie Phone with its 5MP front camera by CEO Stephen Elop. Asides the 5MP front camera, the Lumia 730 is said to have a rear 6.5MP camera with Carl Zeiss technology and LED flash.

The Lumia 730 is expected to feature a 4.7-inch 720p touchscreen and a polycarbonate unibody construction. Under the hood is a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Soc, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 2000mAh battery and microSD card slot. There would also be Single SIMs and Dual SIMs variant of the Lumia 730.

The Lumia 730 would run on Windows Phone 8.1 (Debian Red version), this version is said to be the next after the Lumia Cyan as most of the firmwares come alphabetically (A – Amber, B – Black, C – Cyan, D – Debian Rose).

Asides the Lumia 730, a successor to the Nokia Lumia 820, the Lumia 830 is already in the works and set to launch before the last quarter of this year. The Lumia 830 (Tesla) is expected to feature a 4.3-inch WVGA display, a Snapdragon S4 plus processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, 8GB internal storage, and a 1650mAh battery.

Also Recently, Microsoft announced it was discontinuing the Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone by September this year.

(SCOOP – Microsoft had already scheduled releasing 7 Windows Phone 8.1 smartphones between July 2014 and June 2015. The devices in question includes the Lumia 530, two midrange smartphones – Tesla and Spuerman; a high-end device codenamed McClaren. Others include Dempsey, Cityman (phablet), Makepeace and Talkman (phablet).
