Doom as many predicted was supposed to be the fate of Nokia after selling its mobile arm to Microsoft. But the company has defied all odds and looks set to be roaring to come back into the happening fold with the announcement of the Nokia N1 tablet.
Even though Nokia is not expected to manufacture any device like until 2016/2017 according to its deal with Microsoft when it sold its mobile arm to it. The company has found a way around the clause – the finish company claims to only design the tablet and Foxconn manufactured the tablet.

The Nokia N1 tablet is the first device from the company which runs on pure Android OS (Android 5.0 Lollipop to be precise). The N1 would be a viable option for those in the market for a tablet and its $249 price tag would definitely give it the attention it deserves. Not forgetting the specs, it packs 7.9-inch 1536 x 2048 pixels display, quad-core Intel Atom chipset, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 8MP rear camera and a 5300mAh battery.
Nokia announced the tablet would debut by Q1 2015 in China first before other markets. However new reports have emerged that tablet would infact debut in China by January 7 2015 for the aforementioned proce tag. There is no word on availability in other markets; but once the tablet hit the shores of China it would get to other markets in one form or the other.
