Residents of Lagos and Abuja have recently witnessed the launch of NTEL – the mobile carrier derived from the sale of NITEL/MTEL. The company promises 4G/LTE Advanced connectivity and Voice over LTE (VoLTE); something other longtimers such as MTN, GLO, ETISALAT and AIRTEL have all been relatively quiet about. By now, those who have reserved their SIMS should have gotten it while those who want one can buy from select Ntel stores in Abuja and Lagos.
For those who have their Ntel 4G SIMS, and have 4G-enabled devices (LTE-FDD; LTE 3 (1800MHz), 8 (900MHz) spectrum bands) – smartphones, tablets, modems, routers or Mi-FIs and are ready to surf the net with the unlimited internet package; you can check here for some of the device is currently compatible and the Ntel Data plans. Down to main business, we have the Ntel 4G Internet Configuration Settings here courtesy of Mobility Arena.
Before embarking on the Ntel 4G Internet Configuration settings, ensure you have the network mode on your device set to 4G (recommended) or LTE Only. The next thing is to change the APN setting. Create a new APN and name it – ‘Ntel 4G’ and use any of the setting options below:
Ntel 4G Internet Configuration Settings | Option A | Option B |
APN | ntel | ntel |
Username | ntel | Leave blank |
Password | ntel | Leave blank |
It is advisable to leave other field untouched in the APN settings.
