On the back of spotting two upcoming nubia phones under the codenames – nubia NX595J (Z17S) and NX589J on TENAA; nubia has sent out press invites for the launch of a new phone (or phones) on October 12 in China. The invite suggests the device will have a full view display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
According to the listing, the nubia NX595J (or nubia Z17S) will have a 5.73-inch ‘Fullview’ display with a 3mm forehead, 3mm chin and high screen-to-body ratio. It is tipped to run Android Nougat OS and feature a body made with a mix of glass and CNC crafted aluminium alloy metal frame.
The other model is the nubia NX589J which features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, 2GHz octa-core processor, 6GB RAM, 32GB / 64GB built-in storage, front 16MP camera, dual 13MP rear cameras, dual SIM slots and a 3,100mAh battery with fast charging. It also runs Android Nougat OS and the fingerprint sensor seems to be embedded into the home button.
Either one or both of these devices will go official at the event. Whichever it is, it would mark the brands first ‘Full view display’ smartphone.
