Alongside the RedMagic 6 and RedMagic 6 Pro, nubia’s RedMagic brand has announced a new smartwatch called the RedMagic Watch. Pre-orders are open and sales is scheduled to commence starting March 11 in China. The watch has a 1.39-inch (454 x 454 pixels) AMOLED display with a circular metal dial, and the in-built battery lasts up to 15 days of usage without GPS. It lasts up to 23 days in Eco mode and only 50 hours when the GPS is enabled.
The watch has 5 ATM waterproof rating, and the GPS on-board is part of the Sony CXD5605 GNSS receiver which also brings GLONASS, QZSS, Galileo, and Beidou GNSS constellations. It weighs 30 grams and comes in different colour choices with either leather or silicone skin-friendly watch straps. Users can choose to customise the watch with available faces or use their personal photos.
Priced starting at CNY 599 (Silicone strap) and CNY 699 (leather strap), the RedMagic Watch offers heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking and activity tracking for 16 different sports modes including basketball, cricket, cycling, football, hiking, outdoor/indoor running, swimming, walking, and yoga. In football mode, the watch has a performance heat map of active positions after participating in a game.
