Alongside the high-end nubia Z17 S, ZTE’s sub-brand, Nubia also launched the Nubia Z17 mini S, successor to the nubia Z17 mini released earlier this year. The device also pack dual front and rear cameras like the Z17 S, however, it ditches the 18:9 FullScreen display for a normal 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass ontop.
The Nubia Z17 mini S has 13MP (monochrome) + 13MP (RGB) rear cameras with Sony IMX258 sensor, f/2.2 aperture and OIS. The front camera setup is a front facing 16MP camera with 80-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture paired with a secondary 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Available in Aegean Blue, Black Gold and Deep Blue colours, the Z17 mini S sports a metal body frame with 3D glass body, Dual SIM slots, fingerprint sensor (home body), NFC, and USB Type-C port. It relies an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage.
The Nubia Z17 mini S boots Android 7.1 Nougat OS with Nubia UI 6.0 and depends on a 3,200mAh battery. Pricing starts at CNY 1999 (US$ 303) for the Black Gold and Deep Blue colours while the Aegean Blue option costs CNY 2099 (US$ 318). Sales commence in China from October 19th.
